Three ordered routes through the lessons, one each for newcomers, operators and architects. Your place is remembered in this browser only.

## How the paths work

Pick the track closest to your job and follow its lessons in order. Every track holds to the same thesis: delivery is at-least-once, so correctness lives in an idempotent sink keyed on the primary key and ordered by source log position (LSN, SCN or GTID), and no end-to-end exactly-once is claimed.

Lessons you open or mark complete are remembered in this browser only. The list below works without JavaScript; with it, finished steps are labelled. The text on this site is AI-assisted. See the [methodology](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/methodology/) for how claims are checked. Prefer to browse freely? Use the [series overview](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/overview/).

## Newcomer

**New to change data capture.** The ideas first, before any tooling.

1 step.

What CDC is, how the methods differ and where the tools fit.

## Operator

**Running connectors in production.** Slots, lag, snapshots and recovery.

This route is still being written. In the meantime, start with the [introduction](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/intro/) or browse the [series overview](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/overview/).

## Architect

**Choosing tools and sink designs.** Delivery guarantees, sink design and contracts.

This route is still being written. In the meantime, start with the [introduction](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/intro/) or browse the [series overview](https://sandgraal.github.io/letstalkcdc/overview/).
